Story…I did insurance appraisals on purchased homes and renovated homes. I went to a NY designers home in NJ that was totally redone. Upstairs he had a marble bathtub and we talked about the financial expense he went through to get this tub on the second floor in an old home. Opening the wall, having the tub crane lifted and installation, extreme! I commented how I hoped he enjoyed the tub, he stated “we used the tub once only because marble does not hold heat so after filling it with hot water, it got cold instantly“ expensive lesson learned. It sits with a large plant inside.
