Now that I’m in recovery my sex drive has returned pretty nicely even tho I’m on methadone and psych meds. It was non-existent in active use! I love this conversation though it’s nice to hear other people’s experiences

Ooh VERY relatable. Also doesn’t help that psych meds killed my libido… like is this shit permanent bc it’s been 4-5 years of being off of them! and with audhd it can be too overstimulating even if im in the mood, the environmental impacts not just the touch… never mind the trauma which can unfortunately just flip a switch at any moment. I almost feel like I cannot turn my brain off enough to enjoy it without turning my brain off beforehand. Hell I feel like I need a substance to do almost anything whether I enjoy it or not… so it’s always made s3xytime way easier… and was the only way I could experiment with a new partner and absolutely imperative for any IRL SW which is why I quit upon forced abstinence via drug court. Without the right cocktail and partner I may end up forever asexual at this point I really don’t know anymore and lowkey I don’t like that. I was so super s3x positive & enjoyed being a sillyslut for the most part.
