IMO I didn’t think Percy did it anything out of spite. She did it out of hurt and pain. For me I thought it was clear she was deeply insecure at 17 and it felt to her as if Sam didn’t want to be with her anymore. He would say one thing about concentrating at school and then she would call him and he’d be drunk or going to a party or another girl would pick up his phone. She was clearly upset about this and feeling rejected by him. At the same time this was all happening Charlie was giving her attention and on the same night she felt like Sam dumped her she did something stupid to numb that pain of feeling unwanted. The panic attacks weren’t to excuse what she did like it didn’t matter, but to show how severely she was impacted by what she did. She hated herself over this. I understand that you felt like the ending was rushed because it was revealed at the end but I did think there was resolution because this wasn’t a plot as if Sam had to be convinced Percy didn’t want his brother because it wasn’t about that in any way. She made a mistake, he understood that it was something she did that was out of character to her norm.

Girl I guessed it half way through the book DNFed it at page 250!!! And texted my sister to tell me the ending which I got correct lol. It was sooooooo boring I couldn’t torture myself anymore 😂😂

The book was good but honestly what she did was unforgivable. Like you realize her first kiss and her first time was with his gd brother? How would anybody realistically be able to forgive that. I don’t have a problem with cheating trope as long as it’s not the MCs doing it to each other wtf lol
