My cats that I know are always in the house make me jump about 30 times a day. I have a tortie cat with a dark coat and she has this incredible ability to make me sh!t myself at least 10 times a day. She blends into furniture 😂

Me too. We’ve also discovered that I don’t come with fight or flight, I come with startled = bellow (I shout every time and it’s like a war cry). 😂😂😂

The way I explain it is I got so involved in whatever I was doing/reading/playing/listening to that I forgot for a second or two that other people exist

lol same! And when I get scared I unfortunately almost have a fainting goat response.. bahaha 😂 I fall backwards on the floor, like I stiffin up and freeze falling backwards. I still catch myself with my arms . Or my husband catches me lol... but it's the worst defense mechanism I have. 😂

No it not funny. It is weird. I jump out of my skin. But that part does make me laugh. Because I knew the person was about might of heard them coming up the stair so it registered there there then it like someone going boo. I am zoned out but also there isn’t really time in that zoned out place could be Mins hours. I normally tell by how much pain I am in when I can’t move or hand are working right. I am only see the thing I am focusing on. Might have been distracted for a second registered it isn’t a danger and then zoned out again. That’s the not funny and weird about it. It can be a few seconds inbetween and your heart races.
