I think there was a hint of truth in what the customer service guy said. Just cause Bear chose it for her didn’t make the emotions of love she felt less real. Problem is he took the freedom to choose from her. That was wrong, and he couldn’t bring himself to free her even after everything that happened. It’s so tragic. The film brings laughter, anger, sadness, fear, and an aching for real love.
