@theflexibilityguy_elia: LOW CABLE ROWS FOR STRENGTH & FLEXIBILITY Low cable rows are fantastic for both back strength and flexibility. What makes this exercise so effective is the combination of maximal lengthening and active shortening. At the start of the movement, when we fold the trunk over the legs, we lengthen the spinal erectors, open the shoulders into flexion, and stretch the lats significantly. There is also a strong hip flexion component involved here. Then, as we pull, we straighten the back, drive the chest out, and actively bring the elbows behind the body. This develops not only strength, but also active shoulder mobility and control. Exercises like this allow us to train strength and flexibility together, which is one of the best things we can do for long-term health and performance. Learn about my approach and methods and find more exercises, workouts, and coaching programs through my link in bio to become more flexible and free to move! Have a nice workout — The Flexibility Guy, Coach Elia. #backtraining #mobilitytraining #flexibilitytraining #strengthtraining #functionalfitness
