Wtf is wrong with people? Seriously, it baffles me that they’re snidely like “oh you’re still going through that???” when the underlying problems haven’t even remotely been properly addressed and/or resolved. I’m sorry you are dealing with all that on top of your current situation. Yours is not an easy position to get out of and I wish nothing but the best for you and hope you don’t remain stuck here forever. But good Lordy! None of this is your fault and people need to remember that.

Because as someone who has and is still trying to 'survive' a society that keeps 'keeping' us down without the spoons to actually express these same sentiments... Yep. I get it. I’ve been back to work for a year now and have not been able to work a full week yet. And I got rejected for my request to work from home for 2-3 days per week. No, I have not given up. I already had 3 letters - from my GP, my therapist and from the psychiatrist who diagnosed me as autistic. But the response literally only took into account my migraines. Not my physical disabilities now nor my audhd. Which were all outlined. Argh. I am going to have a meeting with HR in a couple weeks about other stuff that came up in our “coffee chat” that I brought up, backed up my coworkers on, etc.. and also emailed the guy about. But will also bring up the wfh and how it was not handled properly. After that, if still rejected, I will be filing a complaint.

Same girl same. Just when I think I’m about to experience some stability by clawing my way into an inch of light, a whole new floor I didn’t know existed drops out from underneath me. Side note, your skin is beautiful! 🥰 Mine is starting to reflect my imposed social class.

People are aholes! I also can empathize which what you’re going through. I’ve got a similar story that I’m still writing as I go. I have had this happen to me for years. I was unhoused because of mean behaviour online and it was “all my fault” that I lost almost everything. Being unhoused is not a lack of intelligence. It’s a reality. We have a horrible time treating each other well 🫤

And meanwhile ALL THE LABOUR that goes along with having to reassert and advocate for your basic needs goes completely unnoticed. Like, it’s fucking exhausting to have to spend that much extra energy just to survive. People don’t seem to realise how much harder homeless/unstably housed people have to work everg day just to exist.
