A lot of people with Christian parents who were forced to go to church every Sunday dont need to deconstruct. They simply never believed in the first place and were faking it in order to survive and not get beaten.

This was really well said. People often assume leaving faith means anger or rebellion, but sometimes it’s just realizing you can’t force belief anymore, and feeling peace when you stop trying. I think so many people are sitting in that same place, but haven’t quite found the words for it yet.

I really really really want to believe in alien visitation. I want to believe this because it would mean that interstellar space travel is possible and feasible But the evidence just isn’t there. So as much as I want to believe it. As many books as I’ve read on it. As many documentaries, I’ve watched on it. As convincing as some of the arguments and so-called evidence is on the surface. And even with as many testimonials there are. I still don’t believe aliens are visiting earth. But I really really want to believe it.
