In 1982 I had a friend whose son was dying of cancer. The Dallas Cowboys flew the entire family out to training camp at Thousand Oaks. The family spent a week out there and the Cowboys picked up the tab for everything. Paid for the families vacation and trip to DisneyLand. Their son who passed later that year was treated like royalty by Tom Landry and the team.

I'm a 🦅 fan and this vignette is making me tear up! Great story about Aikman. Scoring a touchdown reminds me of John Cappellitti scoring a few for his younger brother Joey who had leukemia. 😢
