Exactly. People need to read what our early church fathers put down. Especially go to the writings of Ignatius of Antioch. He was literally the student of John the apostle. I don’t know why Christians will follow humans and solar scriptoria, and not our early church fathers who got the word pretty much directly from Jesus. It just baffles me. Mary and Joseph were married . Off course they would abstain until after Jesus was born but it wouldn’t even make sense to continue after his birth . John was one of Jesus disciple . If something happens to me I would hope my friends would also look after my mom and she would care for them as bonus children . Doesn’t mean I don’t also have a brother. We can love our siblings and still entrust somethings to friends we know are better equipped .
