Keep presenting at A&E, especially if you keep getting flare symptoms. Complain to Pals & CQC. Trust me, a 3 year wait for urgent surgery turned into a 2 week wait 👀

Google nhs right to choose. You can’t buy these get private treatment paid for by the nhs. I waited over a year for nhs treatment and was told I’d have at least another 6 months min. I asked for the right to choose and was seen privately within 6 weeks.

I had a referral to rheumatology and was told it would be a minimum 12 month wait. I wrote a very detailed email of how my symptoms were affecting my day to day life and requested an earlier appointment, sent it to the department secretaries and copied in PALS, which is the patient liaison service. It’s basically like the complaints team at the hospital, you can find the email address by googling your hospital name and PALS. After speaking with PALS on the phone, I had an appointment within 2 weeks! I can see you’re Cheshire East, so it might be the same hospital. Good luck! X

Had to go private for my PCOS/PMOS as it took 5+ years for my gp to tell me I had infact been diagnosed years back but he didn’t check my blood test results, found out through another gp, told me to lose weight, lost 80lbs and came back to be told there’s nothing they can do for the hirsutism, bloating, or cyst ruptures. Found a private gyne, 200 per appointment BUT got seen in days, got prescribed spironolactone that same day, hirsutism almost gone, with follow ups every 3 months 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

My wait was 6 months. I didn’t realise you can ring up and ask to be put on a cancellation list, if you haven’t done that try it. 🤞🏻you get an appointment soon

Got put on an 58 week wait list in June 2024. Finally got my surgery date in October 2025 only for them to cancel it two weeks before after discovering I needed to stop medication (that they’d put me on) for four weeks prior, which meant they cancelled it. I still can’t get a hold of anyone at the hospital and I’ve been put to the back of the waitlist on the app with the expected surgery wait now being 65 weeks 🫠

Im ok the waiting list for gyne for my endo. 55 week wait just to see a Dr. I have been waiting 12 week complained to pals and my mp. They are supposed to see u within 18 weeks legally under right to chose. I will be complaining to pals at 18 weeks x

i had to call my hospital about my referral and it turned out the consultant had left and i had just been sat in the system so always best to chase it up
