ADOPT/RESCUE- NODAS MED - Needs placement by 10/15 at 11am CST Teddy A1298993 3 Years old Unaltered Male 39.4 lbs Heartworm Negative Intake Type: Owner Surrender - Vet Care Adopets Link: https://adopt.adopets.com/pet/8e873a24-b1c4-4b82-a641-e56cf7c42a7d Bio This sweet 3‑year‑old boy is at risk for euthanasia due to needing continuous wound care, but his gentle spirit still shines through. Although timid at first, he bravely sniffed my hand and looked around nervously with his tail tucked, trying to understand his surroundings. He warms up quickly and shows a soft curiosity once he feels a bit more secure. He is easy to leash and moves calmly in and out of his kennel. He’s a tender, cautious soul who just needs someone patient enough to help him heal and feel safe. Owner Surrender Notes 09/15: ASO arrived at the location and made contact with the caller/owner, who stated that her dog had been attacked approximately two weeks ago. ASOs responded to the incident at that time; however, the owner did not feel the dog was in critical condition and declined to surrender the dog. The owner stated that since the attack, the dog’s wounds have worsened. She advised that she is unable to afford veterinary care and has been treating the dog with medication obtained from her neighbor. ASO observed the dog to be alert and otherwise healthy, aside from the extent of its injuries. The dog was ambulatory and able to walk, although it was moving slowly due to the injuries. The owner stated that the dog was still eating but appeared to be getting worse. Proceeded with emergency owner surrender.
