Nature is morally impassive. Everywhere, big fish eat small fish. Not a justification to eat meat, but this seems to be the reality of life.

I believe any creature that can suffer deserve a moral status, However I understand that we NEED to eat meat to have a balanced diet and to be happy. so as Humans we should always aim to minimise the suffering caused by us unto other creatures, so ideally that would be being vegan. but actually through Ethical Farming I believe we would actually minimise the suffering farmed animals would experience over their entire life, since we would protect them from predators, diseases and hunger. for a painless death at the end of their adult life. P.S Ethical farming is more moral than being Vegan 😁

Life, I think, is an amoral thing. Pain, suffering, death: these are not the exception, they are the rule. Life must fight to exist. Your nutrition is a matter of killing another living thing: plant, animal, or otherwise.

should we worry about morality before sorting out sustainability? currently 30% of all the food we produce goes to waste anyways. doesn't really matter how moral we are with killing if we're over doing it anyways? that makes the sheer volume of production immoral. - But to answer your question: I don't think it's possible to kill millions of animals on such a massive scale and it also be done with morality in mind. Being gentle doesn't make it any less of a slaughter.

Biologically I think it’s fine. Historically it’s fine. But placed in the situations today, it’s very different. We mass produce meat unlike before where humans merely hunted animals. Philosophically and morally it is probably wrong.

It really depends on your core values and your moral philosophy you were raised with. If someone is evangelizing that eating meat is immoral isn’t that the same as someone saying that their personal religion is the most moral? The moral question should be framed is eating meat immoral for you?
