Studies in Texas in the early 50s showed significant improvement in sleep, mental health and work productivity when people had residential AC. Who in the world thinks it’s dangerous.

What I don’t get about the European point of view is you don’t have to have air-conditioning on all the time. You can get something portable plug it in for the really hot days. Then when the weather gets milder, you can just unplug it and store it for next year…

A/C changed the culture when it was introduced widely in the US. People used be outside more. I would give up a smartphone before A/C.

We have it in Switzerland 🇨🇭 and it runs on solar. AC can be dangerous when not maintained well, as it is a breeding ground for microbes.
