LOLL she’s literally right, a CC and Uni’s first two years is mainly to fulfill general ed. You can always transfer later.

Did my first two years at my community college and then transferred my credits over to my current private four year school. Same degree in the end but I'm paying half the price 😛

CC is not the way for highly competitive majors. Most CS/Finance roles recruit your sophomore fall, before you’ve even transferred. CC is the best route for most majors, but not all.

My plan is cosmetology school and then go to a 4 year college for a business degree and I’ll be the first woman on my moms side to graduate high school AND get a degree as well as a license in the line of work I want to do!

I hate the trope about community college students being stupid, lazy or not driven because it’s not at all accurate. Identical courses at a community college vs a prestigious university meet the same course content requirements. There’s nothing that makes community college objectively easier.

i went to a community college for my associates but had to transfer for my bachelors and i owe basically $0 back to my community college but i owe over $50,000 from university for 2 years :) it’s okay to go to community college!
