@crmnallyobsessed: Debra Newton, the woman from the viral 2025 "Uh-oh, they're coming for you, Sharon!" arrest video, has pleaded guilty in connection to the kidnapping of her own daughter 43 years ago. Newton vanished with her daughter, Michelle, from their Kentucky home in 1983. She told Michelle's father at the time she was going to Georgia to look for new jobs — then severed all ties and assumed fake identities for herself and Michelle. In a heartbreaking victim impact statement at her mother's plea and sentencing hearing on May 15, Michelle debunked rumors that her father, Joseph Newton, was abusive and that Debra took her away from him to protect her. In fact, Michelle says she was abused by the man Debra left her father for. Michelle also said she was suspicious of her mother keeping secrets about her real identity as far back as 1998, and says Debra told many contradictory stories over the years — but never the truth until she was finally caught in November 2025. Since her arrest, Michelle says Debra has stopped speaking to her. Debra Newton was originally charged with felony kidnapping, but accepted a plea deal for a misdemeanor charge of custodial interference.
