there is a wooden holder you can get. it hooks on the edge of your counter, you put the oyster into it and then it holds it while you shuck it. I cant remember what it is called but im sure you can Google it and find it. My inlaws eat a lot of oysters and I got one for my husband. He liked it so much he made them for all of his relatives.
