I built something like this in an IKEA cabinet which just has my network switch and my Synology but I am going to try these Noctua fans to see if it will cool the unit down

So you are pushing hot air out of the cupboard? Cretaing negative pressure you will pull all the dust in. I would do it other way around - pulling colder air creating slightly higher pressure inside. It will keep dust out and should drop temperature by extra 2-3 degrees
