I absolutely get what they’re saying but like… the big suitcase thing, for most of us this is a once in a lifetime trip, we traveled 13+ hrs, and most stay for 2 weeks so we’re bringing 14+ outfits. Personally I downsized and brought my 25in suitcase vs my 28in. But not going any smaller. 😭 that was a struggle.

I’m parisian and everyday I walk through gare du nord ( where is the eurostar to london ) there’s lot of tourists with big suitcases so I get what she’s saying but that’s 30 secondes of my day… nothing to get me on my nerves

I get the inconvenience of luggage in train but to say it's a problem is making too much out of it. Every country as the same situation.

I think it's the problem of big cities and tourist attractions places all around the world, not only in Japan.

Here’s a wild idea, maybe have (more) limo busses from the airports and have more luggage space? Korea does it, why can’t you do it? In Fukuoka, the airport bus is a regular bus, with little to no baggage space.

After doing it once i dont get it. Now we always take a taxi from and to the airport. Just not worth the struggle😅 The taxis aint that expensive.

On busy trains, some tourists place large suitcases on seats or beside them, which blocks other passengers from sitting even though seats are technically available. This is also very inconvenient for others

i bet it is a hinderance but at the same time i live in london and experience it everyday myself, its just how it is lol

btw you are prohibited to bring large suitcases to buses but i'm not really sure about trains, to be honest when i was in Kyoto i didn't see anyone bringing large suitcases while riding train even during rush hour. also a lot of places in Kyoto that aren't tourist spots are not crowded. i do recommend shipping large suitcases hotel-to-hotel to make travelling easier.

I really recommend luggage forwarding/takkyubin in Japan. It's one of the best things, and although they undersell it and say it'll take 48hrs, it's often beaten me to the hotel 🤣

Guys its very cheap to send your suitcase to the next hotel in japan. First of all you don’t need to carry your heavy stuff the whole day and you don’t bother other people. Like its very cheap did cost me like 10€
