Subaru dealer tech here. Everything the Subaru noted other than “4 wipers “ is correct, the manifold is bolted to turbo they leak at exhaust weld flange, the oil cooler you looked atvin video is the cvt cooler, and what you think is oil pan and and valve cover is actually cam carriers leaking 😂

I refuse to take my Subaru to the dealership anymore. I pulled up for scheduled routine maintenance once and he tried to tell me it was going to be over $400 dollars when I pulled up. I was like ummm i have the maintenance package it should be no cost. He was like oh hold on and then said yea Nevermind. WTH? And telling me I need to change my cabin filter when I changed it myself. They didn’t even look at it

Needs a cam carrier reseal, new oil cooler o-ring, upper & lower oil pan reseal. Exhaust manifold is known to crack at the flange welds (car will sound like a lawn mower when it’s cracked)

As a express tech at Subaru I can confirm that Accents are garabge, Subaru was def not thinking clearly and whoever decided throwing a small turbocharged engine in a big vehicle failed big time

service advisors are not mechanics. they translate for mechanics which makes this even worse. advisors are given 10 hours of training in mechanics and 30 hours in upselling

Hey I have a 2010 ford fusion! It’s leaking slowly change valve cover gaskets,intake manifold gasket and oil pressure sensor I see no leak but it’s still smoking a little bit. Could it be just the old oil burning off?
