I don't think marvel rivals is an undeniably better game, BUT it's a better game for me. I enjoy it more than overwatch and I enjoy the skins and heroes much more as well as limited time gamemodes. I think people who overly hate on rivals are just jealous. Had someone hate on rivals so much but said they would play it only because their friends play it 😭😭 while comparing ow characters to rivals characters

The videos I get all the time on my FYP are Overwatch players hating Marvel Rivals. I played Overwatch since 2017, but I stopped like two years ago because it genuinely drove me to the point where I was just pure angry every game I played. I play Marvel Rivals now and its been nice. But I'd never then shit on Overwatch because I did spend years enjoying it. Both sides need to leave eachother alone 😭

People can’t comprehend that they have options now, so instead they resort to competition and do the “which one is better”. You can play one or the other or you can rotate. People aren’t used to that freedom since OW has sat at the top for years

I play both... I like OverWatch better.. but it makes me angry... I feel like I play nine shitty games to get one good game. And even though half the games are wins, they don't feel like it... even the losses are fun on Rivals

I got banned in overwatch on my main for 100 years cause of some " inappropriate communication " and that account has 5k hours. I got banned from calling someone shitter which to me is whatever but theres a setting in ow that you can choose to see either mature or friendly things so whats the point of the mature setting if you get in trouble for it still

When Marvel first came out, it felt like a genuinely better game. Season 0-2 were its best seasons imo (even with that silly Strategist Strike). Now I'd say they are on even footing, especially since Marvel has found its core playerbase and OW has improved *significantly* since Marvel's release. So anyone thinking they are better than the other because they play one game over the other is just being weird.

I THOROUGHLY enjoyed rivals when it came out, played shy of a 100 hours but it just didn't work for me; it didn't click lioe ow did. and that's fine!!! MR is a really good game and so it OW; ppl need to broaden their game library

its crazy I've been suspended from chat in rivals and thats it and still say crazy things and haven't been suspended since like they don't suspend people anymore but on overwatch you cant play the game lmao its funny they'd rather you not play then have you banned from the chat lol

I do think context and like intention matters. Like my friends and I played rivals for a while and recently we’ve been referring to some of our less skilled teammates as rivals players. And when we do we’re not trying to say Rivals is no skill game. We’re referring to the fact that if you come to OW and try to play it like Rivals it doesn’t work. The two games have similar mechanics but are very different in how you actually win.
