@nitaa.bugg: I don’t know about you, but every time I’m trying to bake something and sprinkle flour onto the counter, it somehow ends up uneven and making a mess everywhere 😅 So instead of tossing my empty seasoning containers, I started refilling them with flour and it honestly makes baking so much easier. It sprinkles out evenly, creates way less mess, and is such a simple way to repurpose something instead of just letting it turn into more single-use plastic #KitchenHacks #bakinghacks

we built a $4.5M+ net worth during 16 years of military life. if i were starting over as a brand-new military spouse, i’d do these 5 things first. 👇 1. i’d work and make as much money as i could. even if my goal was eventually to stay home with kids. when you’re young, increasing your income gives you SO much more money to save, invest and build with. i’d work until having kids actually changed that decision for me. 2. i’d build a 3-6 month emergency fund in a high-yield savings account. military life is stable in some ways. PCS moves, broken cars, unexpected travel and everything else? not so much. 3. i’d get the full 5% TSP match, start investing AND attack high-interest debt. even if investing was literally $10 a week. i want time and compound growth working for us as early as possible. at the same time, i’d be aggressively paying off high-interest debt. personally, i consider that anything over 10%. 4. i’d learn the VA loan before we ever bought a house. not just “we can buy with $0 down.” i’d learn how entitlement actually works, how you can use the benefit more than once and what happens when you PCS. 5. i’d buy our first house with the NEXT move already in mind. this is probably the biggest thing i wish we had done differently. i would’ve looked at our first house and asked: could we realistically rent this when orders come? because knowing what i know now, i wouldn’t just buy a house for the duty station we were at. i’d be thinking about what that house could do for us after we left. if you read this whole thing shaking your head like “girl, this is me,” follow along. i’m basically sharing everything i wish someone had explained to us years ago about military money and building wealth. #militarymoney #militaryfinance #militaryspouse #militaryfamily #military
