@mmsanett: Was rollin’ down memory lane when I had to bring this back to my feed. CELL BLOCK TANGO. ❤️🔥 I choreographed this when I was in a really dark place and was going through probably the hardest time in my life. I was transferring all this anger and frustration into this combination and I remember changing it over and over again because I didn’t think it was good enough. I remember when I danced this at the end of my class at Tremaine Dance in Los Angeles the first time I ever taught it, I didn’t feel like I was performing… I felt like I was living all of these emotions that I had kept bottled up. The response of my beautiful students truly made me feel like I was a rockstar at my own concert. This was truly cathartic for me because I finally felt like I was moving out of the darkness and this just brought me back to life. One of my favorite moments I’ve ever experienced. It just goes to show you, everyone has battles that they’re fighting privately. You never know what someone is going through and for me, the true support and love of the dance community has always shown me that I am not alone and that art can cure and help people sort through their own pain with the support and passion of their fellow artists. A moment I will always cherish. 🥹🙏🏻 🧠💃🏻 @mmsanett 🎶 “Cell Block Tango” from Chicago the movie @CatherineZetaJones 👢 @LaDuca Shoes 🎥 @ethan_harrison
