9 moves in 10 years here, go to the dollar tree, get totes, different sizes. you can start with each self and category. remember small totes never big it will get heavy. you can get plastic bags, zip locks for tiny stuff. vacuum seal bags help with bulky stuff like clothes and bedding. also, trash bags really help with clothes too. break it down, if you know when move out day is, start the room in sections each day leading up to move out. a suitcase for leaving out chages of clothes and toiletries helps to live out of right before you move. set aside some outfits pj's underwear ect and live out if one suitcase right before moving so you can focus of getting everything else packed, its all temporary. it will be chaotic for a bit. detail label everything. on boxes and totes you can use ducktap or packing tap to write in permanent marker. good labels. if using cardboard boxes, which you can get in dumpsters, recycling bins, or get from moving facilities, always duck tape the bottom.
you got this. break it down into sections, start in one corner focus until that is packed then keep moving. take breaks. lots of small boxes and totes, makes moving easier without it getting too heavy. if you have any support they can help, friends, found family ect. stuff you use daily pack it last. clothes can also be used to wrap fragile items
Artwork, posters, can be placed between flat cardboard, folders, secured with tape on the edges.
you got this.
