@doc4heart: I'm Dr. Michael Richman, a double board certified cardiothoracic , sharing how Pulsed Field Ablation is revolutionizing atrial fibrillation treatment with safety and effectiveness #atrialfibrillation #cardiology #afib #stroke #cardiovascularhealth
Had an ablation in 2017. Effective so far. What is the chance of AFib recurring after an ablation?

Thankyou 😊 Does the ablation target the SA node to regulate electrical impulses?

I get that Afib flip flopping very rarely. What I do get, and my cardiologist said is actually when a beat follows another beat closely which creates a longer pause until the next beat. It’s that pause that scares me haha. I think maybe three times in my life the pause went long enough to light headless. My reaction was to exert or hit my chest haha. Since retiring it seems to happen a lot less now. 🤷🏻♂️doc says to keep an eye on it and if it happens more frequently to call. I’ve had 4 nuclear ST and pointed it out to him on the treadmill when it was happening and while he was looking at the EKG. PS all NST’s came back normal.
