Megumi’s Ten Shadows Technique Megumi inherited the Ten Shadows Technique, one of the strongest techniques in the series. This technique lets the user summon shikigami like: * Divine Dogs * Nue * Max Elephant * Mahoraga Sukuna recognized Megumi’s potential very early. Unlike many techniques, Ten Shadows can adapt and evolve, making it incredibly versatile. 2. Mahoraga Was the Real Prize Mahoraga is the strongest shikigami in Ten Shadows. Mahoraga’s ability is adaptation: after being hit by a technique enough times, it adjusts and becomes able to counter it. Sukuna wanted to use Mahoraga to overcome Gojo’s: * Infinity * Limitless * Domain techniques By observing Mahoraga adapt to Infinity, Sukuna learned how to alter his own attacks to cut through Gojo’s defenses, leading to the World Cutting Slash. 3. Megumi Was a Better Vessel Than Yuji Yuji Itadori was able to suppress Sukuna. Megumi, however, was psychologically vulnerable after the death of his sister Tsumiki Fushiguro. Sukuna exploited this despair to break Megumi’s will and seize full control. 4. Sukuna Could Keep His Own Powers Taking Megumi’s body did not mean giving up Shrine, Cleave, Dismantle, or Malevolent Shrine. Instead, Sukuna gained: * All of his original abilities * Ten Shadows * Mahoraga * A vessel he could fully dominate This made him dramatically more dangerous. 5. It Was the Best Way to Beat Gojo Sukuna respected Gojo as his greatest obstacle. With Megumi’s body, Sukuna had the exact tool needed to bypass Infinity and eventually kill Gojo. In Short Sukuna took Megumi’s body because it gave him: 1. The Ten Shadows Technique. 2. Mahoraga’s adaptive power. 3. A vessel easier to control than Yuji. 4. The means to defeat Gojo. Without Megumi, Sukuna might still have been incredibly powerful, but defeating Gojo would have been much more difficult.
