@mamaaa9204: 20 stab wounds. That’s what investigators found when Ellen Greenberg was discovered dead inside her apartment in Philadelphia in 2011. At first the case was treated as a possible homicide. But later the official manner of death was changed to suicide. The case quickly sparked controversy after details of Ellen’s injuries became public. Some of the stab wounds were to the back of her head and neck. Her fiancé told police he had come home from the gym and couldn’t get inside because the apartment door was locked. After forcing the door open he found Ellen on the kitchen floor with a knife in her chest. The medical examiner originally described the death as suspicious before the ruling was later changed. Since then Ellen’s parents have spent years trying to reopen the investigation saying the evidence does not support the official conclusion. More than a decade later the case still leaves people questioning what really happened inside that apartment. Because many still can’t understand how someone could suffer 20 stab wounds and the death still be ruled a suicide.
