Not sure how your regulations are but we are not allowed to add newspapers to the compost, so this wouldn’t work at all for us. Paper and food scraps have to be recycled separately. Anyways just adding food scraps to a bowl and then dumping it in the compost works perfectly fine?

We use normal bowls for this in Norway, but the bowls get their own name when they are used for that purpose - where I'm specifically from we call it mollfat (kinda like calling it scrap plate), but I'm sure all the over 1000 dialects we have in Norway have their own version of the word 😄

I use them as seed sowing pots for big seeds, like cucumber, courgettes, squash etc. Then you can plant them straight in the ground/ raised beds👩🏽🌾
