#CONGB

Acne is a chronic, COMPLEX condition with multiple overlapping drivers + root causes…and there is a huge difference between having access to information and knowing how to apply that information. Your body and healing acne is not a math question. You can Google “best supplements for hormonal acne” and get a list of 20 things. You can ask ChatGPT what causes jawline acne and get a perfectly reasonable explanation. You can read about gut health, androgens, blood sugar, cortisol, inflammation, nutrient deficiencies, thyroid function, skincare, and every other possible connection. But which of those things actually matters for you? Is an abnormal marker actually relevant to your acne? Is it something that needs to be addressed directly, or is it downstream of something else? Should you be adding a supplement, removing one, running additional testing, changing your diet, or doing absolutely nothing with that finding? What needs to be addressed first? What can wait? And how does all of that change based on your symptoms, history, medications, cycle, previous treatments, labs, lifestyle, & response to what you’ve already tried? THAT is the nuance. And that’s why collecting more and more information isn’t the answer. I see so many people who know a lotttt about acne and their health but are still stuck because they’ve spent years trying to piece together generalized advice from podcasts, the internet, Reddit, and diff practitioners & are just even more confused. At some point, you don’t need another list of potential root causes or going down rabbit holes that don’t actually apply to YOU (even though the internet does a good job at making you think they do). You need someone who can help you navigate the nuance of YOUR specific case..what is relevant, what isn’t, what deserves further investigation & what order actually makes sense to address things in. And a huge part of healing is accountability and human connection AKA working with someone who knows your case, tracks your progress, and genuinely cares about your outcome. And it’s exactly why I do what I do now as a naturopathic doctor that specializes in acne🤞🏼🌀💛
