hip hop "IS" dead sis, well .it may not b completely dead but its definitely on life support 🤷. (I fell in love with hip hop a long time ago). hip hop showed symptoms of decay the day when we were unable to celebrate it without ONLY speaking about shaking ass, having sex, clubbing, getting drunk, or how moist our private parts are🤷. hip hop is more than that and has lost substance. and Drake helped normalize that fact. he helped make it acceptable. now actual emcees that speak on real life struggles and issues get labeled trash because Keisha and Renee can't shake ass to a song about mental health struggle.
