nah toph still wins in her prime. why? even if she can't lava bend, her bending is way stronger than ghazan, so she can nullify the lava bending with her own earth bending defence by the rule of the avatar world. if we go by elemental logic law, there's no way fire nation would beat water tribe coz water is fire's hard counter, period.

depends on terrain for me. If its city has lots of metal then toph definitely has higher ground but if it's an open area with just earth then she is definitely gonna win. Though seriously ghazan lavabending is way too slow compare to earth bending. Before he turn any earth space attack or anything he would definitely gonna get pressured by the number of attacks toph is gonna do here is what i think would happen - early both will earthbend since ghazan uses lava to throw people off but then he realizes that toph is a lot better on earth bending - midfight he'll use lavabending which will surprise toph and definitely gonna throw her off which he will take advantage and definitely gonna have the dominate most of the midfight however she will find her footing after a while or at the end endfight: she realize that ghazan uses earth to lava bend but its way too slow so she will just attack ghazan as much as she can which will overpower him and he loses also toph do knows lava bending according to comics but its not yet confirmed whether she can or not
