My story is one of many changes… And If I’m truly honest, I’ve never felt like I fit perfectly into one box When I was 5 years old I wanted to be a “cook” and that quickly changed to football player when I realised how much I loved the sport. The dad died, when I was 14, and I decided to become a doctor. And as I started medical school, I started blogging, posting on social media, and eventually progressed to writing books. During that time I also did my personal training qualification because I dream that one day I could integrate it into my medical practice. And after I qualified as a doctor, I worked for a few years and then went back to university study my masters in nutrition because I wanted to learn more about how food affects our health… Then during covid, I read a lot, and developed an interest in womens health when I realised women were historically neglected from medical research and often overlooked and under-treated by our healthcare system. I’m now 33 years of age and if you ask me “what do you do?” I can’t give you one answer And while life hasn’t exactly turned out how I expected, I’ve learned a lesson form every pivot I’ve been through in my life and I believe that it’s important to explore our interests, passions, and who we are outside of our work.
