@faithreal_talk: Ever wondered if those confusing timeline discrepancies in the Bible are actually accidental? This breakdown dives into the conflicting accounts of Jesus’ death—specifically the debate between the Synoptic Gospels and John. Instead of viewing these as mere errors, the analysis suggests a much deeper theological strategy at play. Discover why the timing might have been intentionally shifted to make a specific, powerful point about identity. #BiblicalHistory #Theology #BibleStudy #HistoryDebunked #Faith

John Murphy :
There are two different times the Hebrew time and the Roman time. Hebrew time which is in Mark is 9AM . Hebrew daytime started at daybreak so in Mark the third hour so 6am plus 3hours would make it 9am. This the only one Gospel that actually mentions the time of the crucifixion! in John he uses the Roman’s time system which is more like the time system used today! So Jesus taken early in the morning 6am. John 18:28 KJV Then led they Jesus from Caiaphas unto the hall of judgment: and it was early; and they themselves went not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled; but that they might eat the passover. So then it says this John 19:14 KJV And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour: and he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King! So there really is no really contradiction as the judgement came sometime after 6am not noon so there is still about 3 hours which the time of 9am in Mark is well within range! Hebrew time was from dusk to dawn! Roman time was 24 hour timing! Hope this helps!

one thing that I'll say is that we often implement modern journalistic practices to events from the ancient world that simply don't apply. it's easy for our way of thinking of how an event would play out and be reported vs how it happened. Katie Couric wasn't on the scene. what John wrote is not so wildly different in how others would do it.

I understand the date argument but we're talking about a matter of 3 hours between 9:00 and noon when people back then used sticks and sundials to tell time. I also really don't think if we're trying to disprove God that 3 hours difference between the times his two apostles gave really matter.

The answer is the conclusion! Two different time system were used! Mark used the He few time system which is dusk to dawn? So Christ was crucified at around 9am? Mark is the only Gospel that gives the timing when Jesus was crucified! John’s Gospel uses the Roman system of time, so it is a 24 hour system like we used today so the sixth hour which meant Christ was being judged by Pilate at 6 am in the morning! So the timing fits with Mark’s timing of when Christ is crucified!! The timing is what they debating! It may not make sense to you it makes sense to Biblical scholars! Remember this is ancient history they were not a pan Apple Watches!
