@tymmee: 5/15/2026 My son's graduation at Crockett County high school in TN. When we first pulled onto the campus, We were being stopped and flagged to park in a field, I explained that I'm a parent and need to be on the field in 3 minutes. He says I better hurry up and steps out of my path. We come to the next flag guy, he's a bit more "animated" directing me away from my path and to a parking spot. I have to stop and explain to him I'm a parent and need to be on the field in 2 minutes. He tells me I won't be able to find a parking spot. I explain I just need to get to the gate in time. Asks me how am I gonna get the car parked if I gotta be on the field....I point at my wife and explain that I'll hop out, my wife will get in the driver seat and park, after way too many questions, he steps out of the way. I get to the first gate and after a the back and forth explaining I'm a parent, I look at my watch and it's 6:46p, I walk to another gate where I'm denied by the gentleman in the video. I walked along side the graduates while they lined up and after about 10 minutes(about 5 minutes til it starts) I go to find my seat in the stands with my family. I notice him allowing a person in and another person out that needs to get a drink if he "makes it quick". I understand I was late and I accepted that, but why no discretion for being 30 seconds late if you're gonna let people in and out anyways? I'm heartbroken. Disappointed in myself. My son wanted me on the field and I failed him.
