@yogi.backpack: Reality of balloons... 🎈☠️🌊 From far away, all I saw was a balloon laying on the beach. As I got closer, I realized it was attached to a dead bird... My heart dropped... At first, I thought it was accidental… but seeing the knot perfectly tied around his leg honestly left me speechless. I cried with my heart completely open. 💔 The only thing I could do was clean the area around him, remove the line from his body, and create a small circle of shells around him so he could rest peacefully. 🙏🕊 This is exactly why I speak so strongly against balloons. They end up in the ocean. They harm wildlife. And this is the reality behind so many single-use plastics. I’ll be sending these photos to FWC and wildlife organizations because people need to see what really happens. I don’t like posting sad things… but maybe this bird suffered because of humans, and I need more people to understand that our choices matter! I beg you to please stop buying balloons, buy flowers instead... Protect what you love 🌊 RIP little one 🤍 #oceanlover #fuckballons #protectwildlife #oceanconservation #ballons
