god forbid people do something for their health and wellness that they enjoy. There’s not enough bike lanes/paths for people to bike on so biking on the road is the only option. While I agree that people should use proper hand signals when biking but you can’t mad at people for using the road when there’s limited options. We should be encouraging people to be more physically active not discouraging/shaming them from their hobbies.

ALSO mind you there are laws in place called “Idaho stop laws” (not specific to only Idaho) where cyclists legally do not have to follow traffic laws because they aren’t traffic. It’s this kind of mentality that makes me so worried every time my husband goes on a ride because he can follow all rules and be so careful but someone could still hurt him out of ignorance or spite. Imagine that person is your husband, wife, brother, sister, mother, father, and act accordingly

@Lolomanders: Ohhhh noo😭 this makes me sad! I’m a girlie pop just like you and I’m an avid cyclist/triathlete. I make it my mission to wear bright colours and have flashing lights and follow all the rules of the road. I’ve been spit at, hit at by garbage and physically hit by cars because of this narrative of “drivers hate cyclists”. We are just trying to get our exercise in. Please stop spreading this “hate on cyclist” narrative. It’s actually very harmful and dangerous and we have every right to be on the road as cars do! 💕in many areas we do not have dedicated bike lanes or it’s literally ILLEGAL to bike on sidewalks. Where else do you want us to go?? Please be kind and patient. Cyclists get killed every day by people spreading hate and impatience toward them

Cyclists literally went through a red light without stopping today on a 45mph road and then continued to ride in the middle of the lane. There was a sidewalk.. I know they aren't supposed to use them but like COME ON you're not even going 20 mph

girl I hear you! I live in the country and exercise cyclists specifically come out to my area and bike on small, winding back roads, going at a dangerously slow speed! they go down the middle of the road and make it impossible to pass them.
