@cultivatingboldspaces: SOME KEY POINTS: I have answered this question in relation to men who I have had intimate encounters with. I'm sure there are LOTS of men (and women) who see my pits in the street and think they are gross - but that is irrelevant to me. ALSO: whilst my body decisions are not made with men in minds, the fact is men are a diverse group and I have not felt that there is a shortage of men who can vibe with me. For lots of women who want to grow their body hair, 'what will men I am attracted to think' is a barrier - all I know is it didn't really change anything from my perspective, but that's just my experience. #bodyhair #women #feminism #beautystandards #autonomy
Also I think what people find attractive in *certain* media doesn't translate to what they actually care about irl. Because there is so much more going on than just the visual (or even text, I think this applies to romance novels as well).
I haven't cared about my partners body hair because, frankly, I'm just happy to be there

I’m ngl. Most men haven’t really said anything about my body hair. I’m not that hairy but it’s visible and they noted that I didn’t and I was like yeah. Never an issue afterwards 😭

it's tricky intellectualising what is your bodies reaction. you don't know, till you know.

I feel that bringing in a trans perspective into this would be interesting, because whould someone who feels dysphoric if they are not feminine or masculine, and how that plays into conventional beauty standards

I prefer a lady with a blooming garden, rather than a courtyard, thanks.

Hard to judge if I can’t see it because it’s a visceral reaction rather then judgement
