I think its unfair to say fire signs are egoic/of the self...I'd like to think fire signs are guided ultimately by love; of life, of the self discovery, of loved ones--mostly thru the lens of being an emitter of heat; an emitter of love. As a Taurus that grew up surrounded by lots of Leos...their love for themselves is the same love they pour into others, and if they love themselves abundantly, they love others just as much if not more. Perhaps it can get a bit self centered if it goes unchecked/without introspection but...that's how I feel

As a Leo, I learned early on that I'm no good to anyone I care about if I'm not devoting a lot of time to my own requirements. EG, I require alone time pretty much daily to recharge. I can't provide sunlight to anyone if my battery is empty

My eldest son is an Aries sun Sagittarius moon, my twins are Sagittarius suns. As someone with Virgo rising, Venus and Jupiter I'm all about denying myself to serve others. They remind me to be myself unapologetically and I appreciate that!

I do also feel like it is because we are scared of time. Past is set in stone, future is never certain and present is the only way forward. We cannot hold onto anything other than this very moment and what choice do we have than choosing ourselves? It doesn’t mean we’re gonna leave our loved ones and the people important to us. We will hold your hand to rise to future together. If and only if you are open to the possibilities.
