i feel like every single hobby or going out activity has become so incredibly expensive and then people complain that we don't go out and socialize. i don't wanna pay that much for a ticket only to go on and they have unregulated dealers dens and artist alleys with ai slop and 3d printed dragons with at least a 40% markup then for a corn dog to be 20$ by itself.

The prices for artists are insane too. They also charge for you to bring an assistant to help look after the booth when you have to step away to use the restroom etc. like just to attend a con as an artist is like a $3k average investment. And people aren’t even making their money back bc the cons are also charging customers out the ass
