if you let other people stop you from growing them you are just making excuses

I just admitted I was wrong to my 8 year old son because he said fog is just clouds on the ground. I was like nah dude there’s like… more science behind that. Turns out he was right, fog is just a cloud on the ground. Point of the story; he knows being wrong is ok and we learn from it. Fog is clouds. 🤙🏼🤙🏼

Who is someone to tell you you cannot change? If they hold you to stuff from the past you leave their ass and go grow and evolve with other people. Can’t affect you unless you let it

it's because people project and distract themselves with pointing out other people's flaws/mistakes so they don't have to acknowledge and work on their own.

Agreed! I’m big on accepting people for who they are. People are not the biggest mistake they made unless it’s something drastic. But for the most part the hard or F’d up moments make you a better person.

None of us are perfect, but works in progress. Grace and forgiveness is how we grow.

I think it’s also a reflection of how graceful we are with ourselves when we make mistakes. The harshness we approach others with is often the harshness we have with ourselves and there is limited room for growth while we are in shame and self protection.

So here is why relationships no longer last and friendships are situationships and people don't trust other people. It is a sad sad thing that we put eachother through. Just breath and walk away..

No,no Chico, I am a social worker and that is all we do. Accept you where you are, teach you to do better, and encourage you to expand. Get better people in your life or if you can’t like parents, you just have to accept that they have done their best. They may not change. I believe it is part of the you can’t make mistakes. We are not learning if we are not making mistakes. It is sick, will we yell at children trying to learn to walk or talk?

In my younger years I never said anything but now that I’m older and wiser I speak up and let people know how I feel and what I want being said or not!

Grace and mercy. Also this is so true, let people be who they are. Life is about growing and learning we all evolve.

The ability to be adaptable vs being accountable has been hard to achieve; growth is a whole other aspect of life, some just don’t grow.

Some of growing is moving on from the people that won’t let you grow. Forgiveness from others does not mean continued access. Sometimes you gotta admit you were wrong and move on.

Mature people show grace and embrace growth because we all make mistakes. Maturity also embraces accountability with ourselves first. If someone cant get past something you did after a genuine apology, then accept it and do what you gotta do to move on. No sense in 2 people being stuck in resisting growth💁♀️

I find myself self-reflecting so much, hoping I didn't say the wrong thing or coming up with ways to say it a different way the next time. but i don't think there are many ppl take the accountability to see where they might have gone wrong.
