The sabbath was for the people of Israel to rest but now we all believers that follow Jesus we rest on his finish work at the cross. It was a law thing but thats why Jesus came to fulfill the law because I was impossible for us and after his sacrifice we enter His rest a rest that surpasses all understanding. Remember we live by faith not by law because of Jesus so when you know Him you and you know what He did for us we rest of everything we because He's our savior and redimir and we can enter His rest because we know we're saved.

We know it as Sunday because of the Gregorian calendar if that helps and the Catholic Church follows that one along with the world but it’s Saturday. Sunday is what we know as Monday. It’s the first day.

The sabbath is not Saturday. Because we don’t know what day GOD started building the world. If we go my normal life schedule Sabbath is Sunday. 1 day if the week is Monday otherwise we would count Monday as day 2 of the week
