@grittysoldier: Are hills still breaking you? Do these strength-building exercises to get better. ⚔️ If your legs, glutes, and core aren’t strong enough, no amount of “just ruck more” is going to save you once the incline starts stacking up. These 4 strength exercises have the biggest carryover to uphill rucking performance: 1️⃣ Bulgarian Split Squat 3–5 sets x 6–10 reps per leg 1–2x per week 🔥 Builds brutal single-leg strength and uphill drive. 2️⃣ Trap Bar Deadlift 3–5 sets x 3–6 reps 1x per week 🔥 Develops total-body power and posterior chain strength for moving heavy weight uphill. 3️⃣ Reverse Lunge (Cable Rear Lunge) 3–4 sets x 8–12 reps per leg 1–2x per week 🔥 Excellent for building climbing strength, glute engagement, and stability while reducing unnecessary joint stress. 4️⃣ Step-Up (Weighted Step-Ups) 3–4 sets x 8–12 reps per leg 1–2x per week 🔥 Probably the closest thing to actually climbing hills under load. If you want to climb hills faster without feeling destroyed halfway through the ruck, stop only training your lungs. Build stronger legs too. 💪 👉 Because I know someone’s going to ask, the rack I’m using is the B17 Flying Fortress from @Major Fitness|Home Gym 👌 . #military #legday #rucking #soldier #militaryfitness
