It’s great for a socialist country to use nuclear. Unfortunately that wouldn’t work in a capitalist country since profit trumps safety and the consequences of failure wouldn’t fall on the owners and operators but on the citizens nearby.

The French taxpayer is paying for nuclear power for a nuclear power plant in Finland they built using this approach.

German Siemens and AEG did the same with Westinghouse and GE pwr and bwr designs. German reactors were more powerful reliable and secure before the technology was sold to framatome and the state of the art reactor fleet was sadly later phased out and demolished
