I’m not trying to talk you into spending more money, but having a cart of some sort is going to make laundry & groceries 10x easier. And you put the bagged laundry/groceries in the cart. Getting sturdy reusable bags w handles is super helpful. As far as laundromat, that’s a hang out & see situation. Are other people waiting or leaving? And if you leave, set a timer on your phone before your laundry so you can be there when it’s done bc leaving it to sit in the machines is so annoying.

hear me out, put your breakfast nook in that little corner, a little circle table with 2 chairs, it would fit perfectly and save room in the kitchen

Do not leave your clothes there! Sit, relax, read a book and stay there so no one steals your clothes!

If you dont already have one - get a collapsible wagon!!! It folds up soo tiny for storage, shockingly. Would be great for hauling your laundry to the laundromat, groceries, anything.

Throw the laundry bag into the wash with your clothes. That way it’ll always be clean. And you might want to get a cart, carrying those bags full of clothes will be daunting.

What about something like this? Maybe start the divider right under the loft? Frosted glass/acrylic for privacy and so you don’t lose light on your kitchen area. It’s pretty easy to DIY too with 2x4’s and frosted acrylic from the hardware store!

You wash the bag with the laundry. Then it’s clean for your clean clothes

10/10 recommend getting a rolling laundry bin or a little cart that can help transport the clothes and whatever else!

I know you’re balling on a budget but one thing I recommend getting is a “granny cart” so you don’t put strain on your back.but I would personally wait at the laundry mat until you get a vibe and time your comfortable with to where you can leave but I also used to set the alarm 10 minutes early . IMO

I would never leave my laundry at a laundromat without understanding it might not be there when I come back.

I feel you need something with wheels, and never leave your laundry at the laundromat. Make sure its clean you don't want to bring any critters home with you.

I'm not in NYC but generally you stay at the laundromat cause people might literally take your laundry out of the wash to use it
