Go to your local trade school and ask if your house can be a site for the students to work and learn while under supervision! They are so eager to learn and would do a great job.

OMG! I remember being so excited to see you redo your new house but it just kept not happening. WOW, I'm sooo sorry! Please know I had a similar situation and we had to gut our whole home instead of just painting etc/moving in and the seller KNEW how bad it was! I was worried that I'd always hate the house. Because it started to create suchhh a burden in my life. But after two years of work it finally feels like home!! I'm sorry!!

Sadly my family is going through a very very similar issue (contractor basically made our home unsafe). 3 years after starting renovations and a year into ongoing civil suit. It’s hard but thank you for sharing. It’s honestly comforting

Hey girl. I'm also in NH and my neighbor is a great carpenter. She has a phenomenal reputation. She's done a ton of work on my house and is the fastest at mudding and taping I have ever seen. I am so sorry. And I empathize. I had a general contractor fail to pay his framers so they put a lien on my property and I had no choice but pay them AGAIN and then transfer the lien to the gen contractor. I’m behind a dozen other companies and vendors as well as the IRS to collect. I’ll never get that $20k back. 😭
