Your phone isn't 'broken'—it’s performing a 'System Renovation.' Immediately after updating, Android kicks off intensive background tasks: Re-compilation: The system is re-optimizing every single app to work with the new Android 16 architecture (AOT compilation). AI Indexing: New Galaxy AI features are re-scanning your photos and data to build the new searchable database. Calibration: The battery usage patterns are resetting to learn your habits on the new software. These tasks are CPU-heavy and generate heat, which drains the battery. The best thing you can do is leave the phone on a charger while you sleep or when you’re not using it. Give it 2–3 days for the background 'heavy lifting' to finish, and your battery life will return to normal (or better). Patience is key!
