I have tried explaining this to a few explaining people. I think the way people talk about emotions is part of the problem. Like love and hate are real things, but they are not just emotions. Joy, passion, excitement are emotions that tie in to love. A lot of it comes from understanding that your feelings are real, but almost no feeling is permanent
