They worked together and my grandfather kept passing her notes with drawings asking her out (like a drawing of a bus to take the bus home with him since they lived in the same village, or of a coffee to have lunch together), she rejected him and only saw it as a joke/banter between them until one day she actually went on the bus with him and getting to know him outside work made her fall for him. He passed when my father was only 9 and my grandmother was 39 and she never fell in love again.
