I trade futures and options on futures. Option futures trade the same hours as futures. Almost 24 hours a day. Most traders seem to think Options are only traded in the stock market. Been trading both Futures and Options on Futures since I started trading almost 32 years ago. Don't know why you are saying Options are not trading at night. That's only for Options on stocks.

options are the best. It's literally impossible get 100% + returns with futures but you can easily do that with options. And you can also take advantage of the option parameters if you know what you're doing. The only advantage of futures is that you can during market close hours.

Futures is so limited imo has to be nasdaq or sp500 with options you get individual stocks that sometimes do well on their own

You are so right. Started with options. Once you move to Futures you can really focus on analyzing the charts and mapping out your plan and not worry about the Greeks which can ruin your plan

Good points. I started day trading crypto futures and it’s been significantly better. On the options side, I just sell options with covered calls and cash secured puts. Much better for me if you have capital to invest to just collect premium.

Day trading is expensive. Pfd rule is recently removed but the size people bet will eat them alive. Taxes are higher. You cant trade futures in a roth or trad ira. Lots of perks for both types. The question is purpose and ability
