Is this Andrew Garfield’s best performance? In November 2016, Andrew Garfield attended a talk as part of The Hollywood Masters series, produced by the Loyola Marymount University School of Film and Television. It was recorded during the press tour ahead of the release of 'Silence', a film directed by Martin Scorsese. During the talk with the host, Stephen Galloway, Andrew explained what the preparation process was like for playing his character, which him described as a “truly transformative experience”. Furthermore, the actor also commented that he and Scorsese would have very deep conversations (lasting three or four hours) about the meaning of living a life of faith and how to live in harmony with one’s “true self”. What he found most revealing was that, after their long face-to-face conversations, they would always end up in silence. 'Silence' is a film everyone should see at least once in their lifetime. It's a film that invites us to reflect on the questioning of faith and the burden of sacrifice through the eyes of two priests who set out in search of their mentor, who has gone missing in Japan. btw, it’s Andrew’s birthday today! 🗣️ | andrew garfield ; interview ; mindcore ; corecore ; sadcore ; silence ; silence movie ; reflective talk ; powerful acting ; silence 2016 ending ; acting performance ; martin scorsese ; andrew garfield core ; philosophical films ; psychological films ; spiritual films ; crisis of faith ; moral dilemma ; hidden gem movies ; religious trauma ; spiritual journey ; movies that make you think ; acting ; actors ; cinephiles ; edits ; movies | #andrewgarfield #silencemovie #deepthoughts #movietok #fyp
